Overview:
The Warehouse Operator plays a critical role in the efficient functioning of our warehouse operations. They are responsible for various tasks related to receiving, storing, and distributing materials within the warehouse. The ideal candidate should be organized, detail-oriented, and capable of working effectively in a fast-paced environment.
Responsibilities:
Receiving and Inspection:
Receive incoming shipments and verify the accuracy of materials received against accompanying documents.
Inspect received items for damages or discrepancies and report any issues to the appropriate personnel.
Sort and label received materials for proper storage or distribution.
Storage and Inventory Management:
Organize and maintain warehouse storage areas to ensure efficient space utilization.
Use inventory management systems to track and record incoming and outgoing materials.
Conduct regular inventory counts and reconcile discrepancies.
Order Picking and Packing:
Fulfill customer orders by accurately picking and packing items according to established procedures.
Prepare orders for shipment, ensuring proper packaging and labeling.
Coordinate with shipping carriers for timely delivery of outgoing shipments.
Material Handling:
Operate forklifts, pallet jacks, and other equipment to safely move materials within the warehouse.
Follow proper procedures for handling hazardous materials, if applicable.
Ensure compliance with safety regulations and guidelines at all times.
Quality Control:
Conduct quality checks on incoming and outgoing materials to ensure adherence to standards.
Monitor storage conditions to prevent damage or deterioration of materials.
Report any quality issues or concerns to management for resolution.
Documentation and Reporting:
Maintain accurate records of inventory levels, transactions, and warehouse activities.
Generate reports as needed to provide insights into warehouse performance.
Communicate any relevant information or updates to supervisors or team members.
Qualifications:
Spanish & English
High school diploma or equivalent.
Previous experience in warehouse operations or a related field preferred.
Proficiency in operating warehouse equipment such as forklifts and pallet jacks.
Basic computer skills for using inventory management systems and software.
Strong attention to detail and ability to maintain accuracy in tasks.
Excellent organizational and time management skills.
Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team.
Physical stamina and ability to lift and move heavy objects as required.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $17.82 - $21.45 per hour
Expected hours: 40 per week
