Job Description
With corporate headquarters in Needham, MA a manufacturing facility in Norwood, MA, and a distribution facility in Norton, MA, we are comfortably located within the Boston metropolitan area.
OVERVIEW OF ROLE:
The Warehouse Worker will process receipt, storage, and shipment of finished goods.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Offload all inbound freight and maintain written documentation of the transactions.
- Verify the accuracy of inbound freight bills and signs for the materials.
- Post data into the computer.
- Pick/stage/ship finished goods orders utilizing scanners.
- Complete shipment schedule.
- Rotate product date codes during pulling operations.
- Maintain inventory accuracy.
- Maintain safety and sanitation standards.
- Comply with Company and USDA regulations governing storage and shipment of product.
- Other duties as assigned.
EDUCATION AND/OR EXPERIENCE:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- 2+ years of experience in shipping/receiving required.
- Fluent in written and oral English required.
- Forklift certified on sit-downs, stand up fork truck and scissor lift required.
- Experienced in put-away / retrieval of pallets in racked warehouses required.
- Experience in loading & unloading trucks required.
- Familiar with warehouse documentation and processing requirements required.
- Experience with annual inventories preferred.
PHYSICAL DEMANDS:
The below physical demands are representative of those that must be met by the team member to successfully perform the essential functions of this job.
- Able to bend, reach, carry and lift up to 60 pounds without difficulty
- Able to withstand working in a cold environment.
