Job Summary
This position is responsible for general maintenance of facilities, buildings, and equipment within the Distribution Center with a focus on batteries for the forklift equipment. Frequently works on cardboard balers, as well as removal and disposal of cardboard and trash throughout the building. Frequently uses the scrubber to clean the facility's floors. Occasionally asked to perform maintenance tasks with oversight. The incumbent is also required to perform all tasks in observance of Rite Aid's brand and strategy and adhere to our core values and service attributes.
$17.50 per Hour
Responsibilities
The associate is responsible for the functions below, in addition to other duties as assigned:

Operate manual battery pullers to change batteries on forklift equipment.
35%

Operate manual battery pullers at elevated heights inside of battery rack locations.
35%

Perform preventive maintenance to battery pullers, batteries, wash cabinets, and battery rack

QUALIFICATION REQUIREMENTS

Certificates, Licenses, and/or Registrations
Language Skills
Ability to read and interpret documents, such as safety rules, general business periodicals, operating and Maintenance Instructions/procedure manuals. Can speak effectively to customers. Able to type, prepare, copy, file, and keep records.
Mathematical Skills
Ability to add and subtract two digit numbers and to multiply and divide with 10s and 100s. Able to perform these operations using American units of money, weight, volume, and distance.
Reasoning Ability
Ability to apply common-sense understanding to carry out simple one- and two-step instructions. Ability to deal with standardized situations with occasional variables.
Freedom to Act
Ability to accomplish work that is closely managed and reviewed for accuracy and adequacy. Follow specific, outlined, and detailed directions.
Problem Complexity and Problem Solving Timeframes
Ability to provide resolution to problems that are readily identifiable with limited scope and are resolved in accordance with standard practices, procedures, applications or routines. Problem/Task resolution timeframe: The majority of tasks typically take one to two days to resolve.
