- Processes consumables and/or service part orders, sales orders, warranty orders, production orders, bill of lading, customs paperwork, pull tickets, and other necessary paperwork to prepare, pull and ship material. Loads material, as appropriate, for shipment.
- Boxes, weighs and labels material/orders for shipment, verifying all parts on the packing list are accounted for and are properly packaged for safe shipment. Processes paperwork for UPS, Federal Express, or for other freight carriers. Prepares and maintains daily shipping documents, releases billing block, and maintains open delivery report, as required.
- Receives and unpacks incoming shipments from subcontract vendors, suppliers, customers or internal shipments. Verifies incoming shipment against purchase order receiver, RGA or related document.
- Performs tasks to count inventory and reconcile cycle counts and/or physical inventory counts both physically and in the business system.
- Responsible for accurately processing all documents and business system transactions to maintain high inventory accuracy.
- Processes appropriate production orders including preparing material to meet order specifications.
- Delivers material/orders to customers (locally), as required [Consumable Group only].
- Communicates with other personnel, as required, to promote an efficient material processing operation.
- Maintains a neat and orderly work area based on 5S guidelines.
- Other duties may be assigned.
- Use of PC, MS Office software and SAP or appropriate business system software.
- Ability to safely use material handling/support equipment including: forklift, rolling stepladder, hand trucks/dollies, pallet jacks, parts picker, scales and bar code readers.
- Ability to safely operate equipment necessary to properly package and ship parts.
- Ability to safely operate equipment for graphite processing (band saw), resin processing (vacuum and filling equipment) or similar operations equipment [Consumable Group only].
EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE
- High School diploma or GED equivalent
- 1-3 years of warehouse work experience, preferred
- Forklift experience, preferred
- Valid driver's license and clean driving record
While performing the responsibilities of this position, the individual is required to communicate verbally, both in person and over the phone.
- The individual is required to both remain stationary and move about the warehouse, often using their hands and fingers to handle or feel.
- Physical requirements include frequent standing, walking, reaching with arms and hands, climbing or balancing, stooping, kneeling, crouching and crawling. Body agility is emphasized. Clarity of vision at close distances is required.
- Individual is required to lift or move heavy weights up to 50lbs frequently and heavy weights up to 70lbs on a limited basis.
- Travel may be required.
- Majority of work will be performed in a warehouse with a concrete floor.
- Regularly exposed to bright lights, temperature changes, loud noises, dust, gas and/or fumes.
