Job Title: Warehouse Lead
Job Summary:
The Warehouse Lead (WL) directs the department to provide equipment, tools and supplies in order to support and optimize field operations.
Duties and responsibilities:
- First point of contact with Smartsheet request for tools and general request.
- Delegates request and tasks based on date and priority.
- Order necessary tools and materials after checking stock and communicating with tool specialist.
- Manage task for Material Handler’s day to day operations.
- Provide help to Material handler’s for transport of goods and services.
- Assist in building maintenance.
- Communicate with Assistant Manager and/or Warehouse Manager in operations.
- Back-order tools.
- QAQC of tool orders and general request.
- Assist in training of new hires and day to day task.
- Maintain Smartsheet status and updates.
- Share knowledge of tool and material locations.
- Work with the Purchasing department to gather info on tool cost and timeline required.
- Work with Project Managers for special request.
Qualifications:
- Material Handler experience required.
- Some college preferred; HS/GED required.
- At least 1 years’ proven successful experience in a supervisory role.
- Excellent customer service skills.
- Basic knowledge of MS Office Suite, especially Excel.
- Good driving record.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
- Provide innovative thinking to improve processes.
- Problem solving.
- Collaborate with others and work effectively in a team environment.
- Strong organizational skills.
- Demonstrated commitment to employee safety.
Working Conditions:
Generally Monday – Friday during normal business hours (required to respond to after-hours requests); primarily indoors (warehouse); warehouse temperatures varies by season; some office work in a temperature-controlled environment; may encounter noise from machinery/equipment/vehicles while performing the duties of this job, the Warehouse Lead may be exposed to fumes or airborne particles, moving mechanical parts and vibration; may be exposed to a variety of extreme conditions while on construction job sites (weather, noise, etc.)
Physical requirements:
The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by a Warehouse Lead to successfully perform the essential functions of this job. Must be able to stand/walk for long periods of time (8 hours or more); bend/stoop, kneel/crouch; lift move or push up to 50 lbs; good manual dexterity (use/management of tools); ability to climb using a ladder. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus.
