Job Title: Warehouse Lead

Reports to: Warehouse Manager
Job Status (FLSA): Non-Exempt, Full-Time
Location: Miami, Florida
*Warehouse and Forklift Experience Required*
The Warehouse Lead loads outbound trucks, reconciles piece count and condition of cargo to corresponding documents, processes cargo in warehouse for consolidation on outbound trailers and/or local delivery with regard for safety of cargo, personnel, and company equipment. Additionally, the Warehouse Lead trains new hires as needed.
- Inspect Cargo for damages - address exceptions
- Responsible for Cargo Stage
- Oversees the off load and load of Cargo
- Oversees the weight and dim of freight
- Train new hires
- Responsible for load balance on over the road trailers
- Comply with all security procedures
- Comply with all safety procedures
- Comply with TSA cargo regulations
- On Call weekend assistance when needed
- Acts as supervisor in the absence of the supervisor
- Cultivate positive relationships with customers and vendors
- Operating knowledge of warehouse equipment: load levelers, warehouse doors, pallet jacks, hand trucks, forklifts
- Knowledge of warehousing operations
- Knowledge of weight restrictions and requirements for load balance on over the road trailers
- May be required to work overtime if mandated by operational needs
- Strong verbal and written communications skills
- Problem resolution and reasoning ability
- Ability to work in a fast pace environment
- Be organized and prioritize work, multitask
- Knowledge of MS office (Word, Excel, Outlook), and Internet savvy
- Have initiative, be proactive and able to work independently and with others
- Must be receptive to instructions and work with a sense of urgency
- Forklift experience is required
- Must be able to pass an intensive background check
- Have initiative and able to work independently
- Bilingual Spanish is required
- Requires at least 3-4 years in a warehouse environment
- Possess strong leadership skills
- Requires gas forklift and electric pallet jack experience
- Requires a high school diploma or GED.
- Valid driver’s license required at time of hire. Forklift required, and HazMat certifications helpful; but, not required.

Machinery operation requires the use of safety equipment to include but not limited to; eye safety glasses, hearing protectors, work boots, and hardhats. Loose fitting clothes and jewelry are not permitted. The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate.
