THE POSITION
Verifies and keeps records on incoming and outgoing shipments and prepares items for shipment by performing the following duties.
WHAT YOU WILL BE DOING…
Pick and pack products to fill orders.
Shipping packages via the shipping computer.
Restock shelves with products and packaging products with supplies, as time allows.
Check in and restock returned products.
Assist with the unloading of trucks.
Assist with the receiving incoming shipments, as time allows.
Operates hand truck to move, convey, or hoist shipments from shipping and receiving platform to storage or work area.
When the workload is slow the employee is responsible for checking with the Manager or Assistant Manager for additional things to do.
PHYSICAL DEMANDS
While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to stand and walk. The employee frequently is required to reach with hands and arms; stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl; and talk or hear. The employee is occasionally required to use hands to finger, handle, or feel and climb or balance. The employee must regularly lift and/or move up to 10 pounds, frequently lift and/or move up to 50 pounds, and occasionally lift and/or move up to 100 pounds with assistance.
WHAT YOU WILL NEED…
High school diploma or general education degree (GED)
One to three months related experience and/or training
Proficient with computers
