Warehouse General Manager

Position Overview: As the Warehouse General Manager at ShipCalm, you will be entrusted with the pivotal role of overseeing and optimizing all warehouse operational systems and processes. As the top leader in the warehouse, you will play a crucial part in promoting growth, ensuring financial performance, and fostering a workplace culture that attracts and retains talented individuals.

Responsibilities:

• Lead and manage the warehouse supervisory team, fostering a high-functioning and competent workforce capable of scaling and driving profitable business growth.
• Collaborate with Receiving, Inventory, Warehousing, Fulfillment, Returns, and Assembly/Kitting teams to ensure efficient and effective operational practices.
• Engage with company leadership, operations team, customer experience team, and other stakeholders to contribute positively to ShipCalm's growth.
• Act as the epicenter between customers, warehouse execution, and corporate leadership, providing leadership in complex and ambiguous situations.
• Allocate resources to meet quality standards, including on-time and accurate deliveries to fulfill Service Level Agreements (SLA).
• Establish and uphold a culture of trust and adherence to company values, managing employee schedules, enforcing policies, and promoting safety and health.
• Utilize technology, including Google and Microsoft suite of products, WMS, and related systems, to optimize warehouse operational performance and coach others in their usage.
• Play a key role in onboarding new customers and engage in facility tours to support customer engagement.

Qualifications:

• Minimum of 3 years of experience as a General Manager or an equivalent position with corresponding responsibilities.
• A minimum of 10 years of industry experience.
• Demonstrated experience in leading growth and scaling operations, emphasizing a preference for candidates who have hands-on experience in building systems from the ground up. We seek leaders who have actively contributed to the development of operational frameworks rather than merely managing existing systems.
• Proven track record of successful team building, showcasing the ability to cultivate high-functioning and collaborative teams.
• Documented success in managing inventory integrity, highlighting an adept understanding of and commitment to maintaining accurate and efficient inventory systems.

Reporting Manager Role: This role reports to the Executive Vice President of Operations.
