Warehouse Driver

Behind every great attraction, there is a great souvenir store! Behind every great souvenir store there is a great warehouse! The Maid of the Mist Warehouse is just that, a great behind the scenes distribution center responsible for storing, and moving supplies, equipment, souvenir merchandise, and Maid of the Mist ponchos.

The warehouse is a seasonal operation that operates from mid-February to late November. During peak season, when the Maid of the Mist boats are running, a team of approximately twelve members including two supervisors, two drivers and eight associates work full-time and part-time shifts to cover daily schedules from 8:30am-4:30pm, and extended hours on in-season holidays, and weekends. Weekend and in-season holiday availability required.

JOB SUMMARY

This position will work side by side with associates in assisting the execution of daily tasks including unloading trucks, processing deliveries, recycling ponchos, and maintaining the warehouse facility. Drive company Ford E150 22’ straight box trucks. Occasionally the Warehouse Driver will be required to take lead on a shift, and open and close the warehouse. This position is required to hold building keys and building security access codes.

Driver Requirements:

· Drive company Ford E350 22’ box trucks, and Ford Ranger pickup truck.

· Access computer inventory software, print and process receiving documents.

· Clear, effective, and efficient communication, organizational, leadership, detail-oriented skills.

· Minimum Age required to drive: 21 years.

· Valid NY State Driver’s License, clean driving record,

· Physical for DOT certified driver registration

· Background check.

· Successfully complete the Drivers’ Training Module.

· Participate in employee evaluations, and complete additional training if requested.

· Adhere to company uniform guide, and individual PPE guidelines.

Delivery receiving and distribution:

• Unloading trucks
• By hand – with training (50lb cartons)
• With forklift- with certification
• With mechanical stacker – with training
• Loading & Delivery

Shipment processing:

• Inspecting
• Ticketing & Folding
• Lifting & Carrying
• Stacking & Storing
• Picking & Packing
• Climbing (ladders)

Recycling Ponchos:

• Lifting & baling used ponchos
• Operating baler/compressor

Facility and property maintenance

• Routine building and grounds clean up,
• Operating electric sweeper
