Warehouse Cycle Counter I

Job Overview:
We are seeking a detail-oriented and organized individual to join our team as a Cycle Counter. As a Cycle Counter, you will be responsible for ensuring accurate inventory counts and maintaining inventory accuracy within our warehouse. This is a vital role in our supply chain management process, and we are looking for someone who is experienced in warehouse management and has strong analytical skills.

Duties:

• Conduct regular cycle counts of inventory to ensure accuracy.
• Investigate and resolve any discrepancies found during cycle counts
• Utilize warehouse management systems and tools to track and monitor inventory levels.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify root causes of inventory discrepancies and implement corrective actions.
• Support the store in delivered materials from vendors. Includes reviewing paperwork to ensure product number and count is accurate compared to paperwork.
• Controls inventory levels by conducting daily physical counts; reconciling with proper system; tracking performance against goals; and reports discrepancies.
• Proactively works to ensure an accurate and balanced inventory.
• Monitor inventory levels at manufacturing facilities and warehouses, proactively identifying shortages, overstocks, or discrepancies.
• Generate regular reports on inventory levels, inbound shipments, and order fulfillment metrics. Conduct periodic audits and cycle counts to reconcile physical inventory with system records and identify discrepancies.
• Maintains safe operations by adhering to safety procedures and regulations.
• Maintain 5S in work areas.
• Perform quality work checks to ensure the product meets quality standards.
• Performs other duties as assigned.
• Assist with shipping and receiving processes as needed
• Support production planning by providing accurate inventory information

Requirements:
- Previous experience in warehouse management or cycle counting preferred
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret data and identify trends
- Proficiency in using warehouse management systems and tools
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with tight deadlines
- Excellent attention to detail and accuracy
- Strong communication skills to collaborate with cross-functional teams

-Ability to drive a forklift and obtain certification upon hire, required.
- Understanding of supply chain processes and best practices

Work Environment

This job operates in a manufacturing environment. The individual will be required to adhere to safety policies and procedures on the manufacturing floor.

Physical Demands

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to talk or hear. The employee is frequently required to stand, walk, use hands to finger, handle or feel and reach with hands and arms.

The employee is occasionally required to sit, climb or balance and stoop, kneel, crouch or crawl. The employee must frequently lift and/or move up to 10 lbs and occasionally lift and or move up to 50 lbs. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus.

Travel

Limited to no travel is required for this position.

Education

1. High school diploma or equivalent required. Some College prefered but not required.

Experience

1. 1-2 years of inventory control/cycle counting experience.

2. Ability to drive a forklift and obtain certification upon hire, required.

3. Basic reading skills required.

4. Must be able to follow verbal and written directions.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $18.50 - $19.00 per hour
