Cycle Counter

TITLE OF POSITION: Cycle Counter/Material Handler
REPORTS TO: Materials Manager
NUMBER OF OPENINGS: 1
Shift: 1st
Area of Accountability:
Administration of Inventory Control processes of cycle counting and location auditing.
Major Responsibilities:

• Train with Current Cycle Count Team to assist in the requirements of the current Cycle Count Program.
• Perform task per Division Policy and Plant Work Instructions. This would include, performing cycle counts and location audits.
• Assist the Team in meeting the monthly cycle count requirements of the plant.
• Assist in reconciliation of discrepancies and root cause analysis as required by departmental guidelines.
• Ensure discrepancies are corrected in a timely manner.
• Performs a wide variety of related functions as directed, this may include Receiving Dock Audits, Marsh counts, Work Cell Counts, etc.
• Communicates and interfaces directly with internal and external personnel at all levels.
• This position will also serve as the backup to the MRO Assistant and Planner Assistant.

Qualifications:

• High school diploma or equivalent required; Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Operations Management or Industrial Engineering preferred.
• Familiarity with MRP ll principles, manufacturing and operations management required.
• Ability to communicate effectively in verbal conversation and in written correspondence.
• Background and knowledge of PC spreadsheets and general computer systems.
