Description/Comment:
GENERAL SUMMARY
Involved in various aspects of raw material and finished goods handling. This includes but is not limited to picking of material, packing of customer orders, processing International and Domestic sales orders, working with carriers and forwarders, cycle counting inventories, and working with internal teams to perform inventory maintenance.
MAJOR DUTIES/RESPONSIBILITIES:
Picking materials for customers.
Auditing and packaging orders for shipment.
Scheduling shipments and planning logistics.
Checking orders and paperwork for accuracy.
Loading and unloading trucks.
Material put away from vendors, customer returns and production.
Filling Kanbans with raw materials.
Performing Cycle Counts.
Operate equipment and tools where applicable, i.e.: pallet jack, RF scanner, carrier software, ERP systems.
Perform other related duties as assigned.
BASIC QUALIFICATIONS:
High school diploma or equivalent experience
PREFERRED/DESIRED QUALIFICATIONS:
Familiar with concepts of 6S Lean Workplace.
Intermediate computer skills with ERP systems, Excel, and Word
Demonstrated attention to detail.
Demonstrated success in teamwork and cross-functional process development.
Effective communication skills
Time management skills.
Familiar with CFR and IATA Dangerous Goods regulations.
WORKING CONDITIONS:
Manufacturing environment
Occasional overtime required.
Lifting up to 40 pounds may be required.
