We here at Tile Market & Design Center of Vero Beach are looking for someone who’s energetic, organized, accountable, and experienced. We hold ourselves to a high standard in regards to customer service, product knowledge, and company image. We strive to maintain a design-only atmosphere in the showroom for the best customer experience – no sales pressure! Purpose

Staff will also be expected to learn product knowledge and develop vendor relationships to help TMVB bring the most value to our customers. Product needs include kitchen, bath, and bar backsplashes, entire bathrooms, focal walls, flooring, exterior hard surfaces, artistic projects and more! We will have design assistants on the showroom floor who will need support when an excess of customers come in. The primary job function looking to be filled is someone to help track and manage orders, inspect incoming material, and provide customer updates for delays or deliveries. There's opportunity to learn and grow beyond these responsibilities once they're met. It's a fun, exciting way to learn business and grow with the store!

Minimum Eligibility Requirements

• Must be open-minded and positive
• Knowledge of hard surface flooring is a plus
• Excellent customer service skills
• Proficient in basic mathematical skills
• Must be self-motivated, self-sufficient and able to multi-task in a fast-paced environment
• Ability to identify and resolve problems in a timely manner with minimal supervision
• Excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal skills
• Basic computer knowledge, including Microsoft Office suite, Quickbooks experience or similar accounting software is a plus
• Perform other duties as assigned

Essential Job Functions

• Be detail-oriented and able to track orders and customer data
• Maintain a clean and professional image
• Develop relationships with vendors, clients, suppliers, and reps
• Support showroom staff with client needs when appropriate
• Learn product knowledge
• Maintains an orderly, clean atmosphere

Working Conditions (travel, environment)

• Very limited travel required
• Exposure to warehouse operations, including inspecting and labeling product, moving pallets, breaking down boxes, lifting product, etc. Being that's a warehouse, it can get warm in Summer months. You will sweat!
• Occasional travel for trade shows and promotions (fun!)

Physical/Sensory Requirements

Medium Work – Ability to exert 20-50 pounds of force occasionally, and/or 10-25 pounds of force frequently, and/or greater than negligible up to 10 pounds of force constantly to lift, carry, push, pull, or otherwise move objects. The employee is often required to use their hands and fingers, to handle or feel. The employee is occasionally required to stand, walk, reach with arms and hands, climb or balance, and to stoop, kneel, crouch or crawl, particularly when bringing product boards down from the wall racks. Primary responsibilities will require employee to be at a desk for purchasing, order status updates, and phone calls.
