The Opportunity:
We have a vision to be the Amazon of chemicals and seek top talent to participate in our continued growth. Our Chemical Technician team is an integral part of reaching our growth goals.
We buy chemicals in bulk and put them into smaller containers for our customers. The Chemical Technicians pack, weigh, and label items for shipment and storage. This is a closely knit team who really enjoy working with each other. Although the work is fast-paced, safety and accuracy come before speed.
If you are an organized, efficient team player who is willing to learn and work hard in a fast paced environment; this position can be the growth opportunity of a lifetime!
Essential Responsibilities:
- Pack, weigh and label completed items for shipment or storage
- Follow all company guidelines regarding packaging
- Follow all company packaging instructions for safety and product integrity
- Identify and dispose of defective items before they are shipped to customers
Qualifications & Expertise:
- Ability to follow verbal and written instructions
- Clean, prep, and inventory supplies for packaging
- Ability and willingness to comply and ensure compliance with all regulatory safety and environmental requirements
- Ability to wear personal protective equipment (PPE) including respirator without restriction
- Must pass pre-employment background check
- Must be clean shaven and be able to properly use a respirator
- Ability to lift 50lbs
Nice to have, but not required:
- Prior warehouse experience
- Prior chemical handling experience
- High school diploma or equivalent preferred
Physical Requirements:
- Must be able to lift/move up to 50 pounds frequently
- Frequently performs tasks requiring climbing, bending at the waist, crawling, kneeling, crouching
- Must be able to wear required personal protective equipment (PPE) including but not limited to safety glasses, masks/respirators, goggles, gloves, and safety toe work shoes.
- Must be able to adhere to long periods of standing and walking.
- Ability to hear, understand and distinguish speech and/or other sounds to equipment safely.
- Must be able to use arms and hands to reach overhead, signal, grab, hold, lift, turn, push and pull objects and tools
- Due to the respirator fit requirements, beards are not permitted

Pay: $18.00 - $22.00 per hour
