PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Responsible for assisting in daily shipping and receiving operations of the warehouse.
- Prepare orders for FedEx pickup (load, pack, wrap, label, ship)
- Receive and process warehouse products (pick, unload, label, store)
- Completes computer-based and manual reports and related paperwork, including daily receiving logs, shipping discrepancies, damage reports, etc.
- Dependability and willingness to work as part of a team.
- Ability to stand for extended periods of time and move through a facility that is approximately 20,000 sq. ft.
- Frequent lifting and/or moving up to 50 pounds
- Keep a clean and safe working warehouse environment
- Ability to communicate and cooperate effectively with supervisors and coworkers
- Assist with performing inventory control
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
Education/Certifications:
- High school diploma or G.E.D. equivalent
- Minimum two years warehouse and supply chain logistics experience.
SPECIAL KNOWLEDGE/SKILLS:
- Knowledge of computerized inventory and tracking systems.
- Ability to operate hand tools, mechanical equipment, and personal computer.
- Experienced with meeting and maintaining OSHA-required protocols.
- Ability to communicate effectively.
- Ability to work well under pressure
- Must be able to lift, count, select, sort, ticket, pack and/or handle an assortment of merchandise.
- Ability to process shipments via integrated software platforms such as UPS Worldship, FedEx Ship Manager and ShipGear or equivalent.
SHIPPING EXPERIENCE:
- Proficiency with LTL shipments.
- Background in material handling, purchasing, and stock control.
- Experienced and proficient with FIFO stock rotation principles.
