Warehouse Associate
Position Summary:
(Overall purpose of this position)
- The Warehouse Associate pulls, packs, and ships products to assure customer orders are accurately filled and shipped on a timely basis

- Receives and unloads incoming material and verifies information on a packing slip to the purchase order verifying the accuracy of the shipment; may process return shipments from customers
- Sorts, counts, packages, unpacks inbound and outbound material
- Uses handheld barcode scanners to complete all necessary inbound and outbound material documents
- Pulls orders accurately through completion. Stages loading and unloading area with material
- Cuts aluminum and brush within required tolerances in accordance with production order guidelines. Inspects material used noting any damage or defect and notifying a supervisor or purchasing personnel
- Fills and maintains bins and racks, checks inventory levels maintaining all warehouse inventory and records
- Prepares shipments for transporting; determines the most economical and efficient shipping method. Selects appropriate shipping container; packs product to ensure safe deliver
- Enters data for UPS orders
- Operates forklift, loads and unload trucks
- Builds pallets
- Maintains pallet racks and aisles
- Operates punch press
- Performs housekeeping and building maintenance duties
- Assures compliance with all safety related regulations
- Bands and wraps skids; makes boxes
- Assists with inventory management; performs physical inventory
- Serves as a member of the warehouse team, provides assistance as needed
- Keeps supervisor inform on key issues
- Other duties as assigned

- Physical stamina and agility to stand, walk, bend and lift, must be able to lift 75 pounds

Previous experience that is necessary background to qualify for this position:
- Entry level position requiring on-the-job training of 3-6 months
