Intro: Unicorn Auctions is an auction house that specializes in fine spirits and wine. We’re growing our Warehouse Operations team to unlock the next phase of growth for the company. Warehouse Associates will be responsible for various tasks within the warehouse, including order picking, order packing, receiving, and inventory management. Our ideal candidate will be reliable, detail-oriented, able to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment, and committed to maintaining high standards of accuracy and productivity.

Responsibilities:
- Order Packing: pack orders accurately and follow proper packing techniques with cushioning materials to prevent damage, affix proper shipping labels and stage packages for pickup
- Order Picking: focus on quality and speed to drive great customer outcomes, maintain a high level of accuracy while meeting daily targets or deadlines. Properly label and stage picked orders for shipping or further processing
- Inventory Receiving: check in all items against appraisal sheets on file and report any item discrepancies such as bottle type, condition, damage, quantity, and auction designation. Record received items into inventory management system and troubleshoot any discrepancies or exceptions
- Inventory Management: ensure bottles are labeled appropriately and in designated shelf locations for easy retrieval and efficient space utilization, maintain accurate inventory records by updating systems with incoming or outgoing stock
- Maintain Clean Work Areas: perform regular cleaning and maintenance tasks throughout the warehouse, including sweeping, area cleanups, trash & recycling consolidation, and trash & recycling removal
- Adhere to Changing Best Practices and SOPs: we’re a company that is constantly improving, be flexible to changes in process and expectations to continue to push the company forward
Qualifications & Competencies: Prior experience working in a warehouse or similar environment is preferred, but not required
- Reliability: showing up on time and ready to work for all scheduled shifts
- Attention to Detail: essential for accurately picking & packing orders, receiving inventory, and identifying discrepancies or issues
- Physical Stamina: ability to lift and move heavy objects up to 40 pounds, stand for extended periods, and perform physically demanding tasks in a fast-paced warehouse environment
- Communication Skills: communicate effectively and professionally, capable of working collaboratively with team members to achieve common goals
- Tech Literacy: basic computer skills with competency in Microsoft Office or Google Suite
- Flexibility: willingness to support in different areas of the warehouse operations and adaptable to changes in process or procedures
- Positive Attitude: willingness to learn, grow, and contribute to a collaborative work environment that fosters continuous improvement and success
Job Types: Full-time, Part-time
Pay: From $20.00 per hour
Expected hours: 20 – 40 per week
