JOB TITLE: Warehouse Associate

DEPARTMENT: Warehouse

JOB REPORTS TO:

Warehouse Manager

GENERAL DESCRIPTION OF JOB:

This position receives, stores and distributes material, tools, equipment and products within the warehouse, ensuring accuracy and timeliness of all job functions.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES:

• Accurately pick, weigh, bag, and tag products for each customer order
• Properly pack, label, and prepare shipping documents for each order
• Light housekeeping to keep the work area and stations clean and stocked
• Process orders accurately while picking and shipping
• Ensure all orders are complete and ready to ship by the end of each day
• Performs other duties as assigned.

REQUIREMENTS:

• High School Diploma or equivalent
• Basic math and computer skills
• Ability to go up 20 feet on an order picker machine
• Must be able to lift at least 50 lbs.
• Ability to lift, bend, and stand for long periods of time throughout the day
• Knowledge of general warehouse processes and procedures
• High level of interpersonal skills to be able to contribute to a team environment
• Must be detail-oriented and possess skills to problem solve, verify, and communicate effectively
• Ability to multi-task, establish priorities and meet deadlines in a rapid-paced environment
• Must be self-motivated, dependable, and trustworthy.

• Ability to add and subtract suing whole numbers and measurements.

Preferred Experience:

• At least 2 years of warehouse experience
• Forklift experience with certification

SUPERVISION RECEIVED:

Under the supervision of the Supervisor, the Warehouse Person is responsible for receiving and storing material, supplies, sub-assemblies, and semi and finished gear boxes and transporting assembly work between the Assembly Department and the Warehouse as assigned.

WORK ENVIRONMENT:

This position works in a warehouse setting. This role routinely uses standard warehouse equipment such as hand devices, box cutters and tape dispensers.

While performing the duties of this job the employee frequently works near moving mechanical parts. The employee may occasionally work in outside weather conditions.

PHYSICAL DEMANDS:

The following are some of the physical demands commonly associated with this position.

• Regularly lift and/or move objects up to 10 pounds.
• Frequently lifts, carries, pulls or pushes 50 pounds. Occasionally lifts, carries, pulls or pushes up to 50 lbs.
• Uses cart, dolly, or other equipment to carry in excess of 50 lbs.
• Frequently stoops, kneels, balances, reaches, crawls and crouches while performing work duties.
• Occasionally required to sit and climb or balance.
• Constant use of eye, hand and finger coordination enabling the use of automated office machinery or equipment.
• Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus.
• Regularly use hands to finger, handle or feel; reach with hands and arms; and talk or hear.
