With rapid growth comes opportunity. We are looking for a Warehouse Associate I to join our team in New Castle, Delaware. The shift will be Monday - Friday, 8 a.m. - 5 p.m.
Responsibilities:
- Performs general warehouse duties from creating boxes, packaging ice, pulling orders and helping support shipping and receiving.
- Ensures all information pertaining to products received and products shipped are updated accurately in Microsoft Navision software/BC mobile app for accurate inventory control.
- Performs cleaning tasks, including but not limited to, sweeping, taking out trash, removing cardboard boxes, and clearing the parking lot at the end of each day to ensure the Warehouse is a clean and safe work environment.
- Keeps management informed of any situations that could impact the delivery of on time and/or in full shipments of product.
- Ensures compliance with and/or follows all organizational systems, programs, training, policies, and procedures as required and complies with relevant legal mandates. Seeks guidance as necessary.
- Actively supports and participates in the safety program, both for self-protection and the protection of other employees, by reading and abiding by all requirements in the Safety Manual and Injury Illness Prevention Program (IIPP).
- Carries out all responsibilities in an honest, ethical and professional manner.
- Must be able to fulfill essential job function in a consistent state of alertness and safe manner.
- Handles various other duties as delegated by Operations Manager.
- Ensures that all orders are shipped using the FIFO (First in First out) method and processed according to International, FedEx and UPS deadlines, if necessary.
- Ensures all information pertaining to products received and products shipped are updated accurately in Microsoft Navision software/BC mobile app for accurate inventory transactions and cycle count control.
- Occasionally operates forklift, pallet jacks, and other equipment (as properly trained) to safely move items/parts to appropriate locations, and to load/unload trucks as necessary.
Qualifications:
- High School Diploma or equivalent GED required.
- Minimum of 1-2 years of experience in a warehouse environment.
- Basic Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, Excel).
Skills/Abilities:
- Excellent verbal and written communication.
- Must be able to use discretion and independent judgement.
- Must be able to work in a team environment.
- Must be able to pay close attention to details.
- Must be able to adapt and flex to a changing environment.
- Must be able to lift /or move objects 10-50lbs.
- Forklift operator certification preferred.
- Experience using various computer systems to generate appropriate shipping and receiving documentation.
- Able to move materials safely within the warehouse with forklift and / off pallet truck. Able to receive, pull, pack and ship orders accurately.
- Strong organizational skills, including an ability to prioritize time effectively to accomplish goals on time.
