Warehouse Associate (Backup Driver)

Overview

Shipping and Receiving materials, Inventory, Cleaning and product preservation inspection for assigned isle. Stage product for LTL Deliveries, UPS, Fed Ex, Will Call Orders and TBP trucks. Create BOL slips for outgoing products. Receiving of product shipped in by carriers, UPS, Fed Ex, and TBP trucks. Stocking Inventory received into warehouse. Fill in as a pickup/delivery driver where needed. Pickup and delivery of goods and materials, verify loads for accuracy, and deliver them as instructed. Load and unload cargo. Responsible for basic vehicle maintenance; comply with all safe work practices, policies, and processes at all times. Works closely with shipping/receiving and construction team.

Roles and Responsibilities

• Prepare and complete orders for delivery or pickup according to schedule (load, pack, wrap, label, ship)
• Receive and process warehouse stock products (pick, unload, label, store)
• Perform inventory controls
• Keep a clean and safe working environment and optimize space utilization
• Complete diary logs into inventory
• Report any discrepancies
• Communicate and cooperate with supervisors and coworkers
• Follow quality service standards and comply with procedures, rules and regulations
• Load and unload delivery trucks
• Deliver product to businesses and job sites
• Pickup customer returns
• Complete and verify paperwork for accuracy
• Manage routine maintenance with the truck leasing company

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent
• CDL Class B (required)
• Forklift experience preferred
• Ability to work overtime based on company needs
• Basic Math Skills
• Basic knowledge of Excel, Outlook, and Windows OS

Physical/Mental Requirements

• Strength Guidelines: the ability to lift a minimum of 50 pounds from pallets to machines, with an approximate 4-5 ft lift parameter
• Motion Parameters: the ability to stand for long periods of time. Typically, 8-10 hours per day. In addition, it is required to be able to operate a forklift. Ability to drive for long periods of time. Typically, 8-10 hours per day
• Vision and Hearing Requirements: This position requires the ability to work around loud noises and machinery
• Work Environment: The ability to work in changing warehouse temperatures and conditions, such as heat and humidity
• Emotional Demands: The ability to adapt quickly to changes in the daily routine and fast paced environment, multitask. Ability to adapt quickly to changes in the daily routine
• Work Schedules: The ability to work overtime based on production needs

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $22.00 - $23.00 per hour
