Warehouse Associate

S&S Transport, Inc of Janesville is looking to add a Warehouse/Forklift Operator to our Warehouse team! Join a family owned and operated company who has been in the logistics industry for over 40 years! Hours are Saturday from 7AM sharp - ?. There is also the opportunity for more hours during the week.

Warehouse/Forklift Operators work with the distribution, storage, delivery, and inspection of incoming and outgoing products. Shipping, and warehouse companies of all types hire Warehouse/Forklift Operators work to maintain and manage inventory of products and materials. Warehouse/Forklift Operators work independently and as part of a team in full- and part-time positions during all shifts, including evening, and weekend hours. Warehouse/Forklift Operators primarily report to warehouse supervisor or managers.

Warehouse/Forklift Operators Duties and Responsibilities

Daily job duties performed by Warehouse/Forklift Operators vary based on the types of materials they handle and the environment where they work. These core job duties, however, are common across all businesses:

Process Shipments

Warehouse/Forklift Operators process shipments coming in and out of the business. This includes preparing outgoing shipments and inspecting incoming shipments, as well as scanning shipments and entering them into digital databases.

Monitor Inventory

Warehouse/Forklift Operators monitor inventory by physically counting items and creating regular inventory reports.

Clean

Warehouse/Forklift Operators clean and organize all stock areas.

Customer Assistance

Warehouse/Forklift Operators answer phones and greet customers. They provide customer assistance by addressing problems and answering questions.

Perform Clerical Tasks

Warehouse/Forklift Operators perform general clerical tasks such as filing, copying, and faxing documents.

Follow Safety Regulations

Warehouse/Forklift Operators maintain safety standards and follow all regulations, including wearing proper protective gear while working in warehouse environments.

Warehouse/Forklift Operators Skills and Qualifications
