Essential Job Functions:
Prepare completed customer orders for shipment. Load and unload delivery trucks. Keep production areas stocked with raw supplies and remove finished goods inventory to warehouse. Organize warehouse and inventory control.
Requirements:
- Previous Experience driving class 4 industrial trucks required.
- Forklift certification preferred
- Must be able to work well as a team or as an individual.
- Must be able to lift 25 lbs. repetitively.
- Must possess a valid lift truck license prior to driving company lift trucks.
- Must possess a valid driver’s license prior to driving on behalf of the company.
- Must be flexible with regard to assigned duties.
- Must be reliable and punctual (includes punching time clock at beginning and end of shift).
- Must have good organization and communications skills.
- Must not be a convicted felon and must be able to pass regular security background checks.
Job Duties:
- Keep rewind, press and slip production areas stocked with supplies to keep production lines running efficiently.
- Remove finished inventory from press, rewind and slip areas and prepare for storage.
- Order supplies for warehouse (including but not limited to skids and scrap trailer) using purchase orders properly.
- Unload and store all incoming supplies.
- Verify items, quantities and quality of all goods received.
- Sign, date and deliver packing lists for ALL received goods to the front office.
- Load shipments to customers, completing all paperwork properly and verifying the load is secured when required.
- Assist fulfillment department with warehouse needs.
- Complete weekly production/housekeeping raw inventory and finished goods inventory counts.
- Do preventive maintenance (including charging batteries at the end of the last shift of the day) and weekly inspection on lift trucks.
- Keep maintenance logs.
- Complete daily check sheet.
- Color code skids for customer designation.
- Empty trim box into baler and remove bale.
- Empty trash cans as needed.
- Clean and organize lunchroom.
- Keep plant restrooms stocked with supplies.
- Wash and vacuum company van.
- Preventive maintenance on company van.
- Place all materials for recycling on the scrap trailer and replace gaylords/skids for cardboard as needed.
- Clean and organize chemical room and change drum(s).
- Assist packers in packing customer orders when all other work is completed.
- Run errands as needed in company van.
- Lock warehouse and set the alarm at the end of the workday.
- Keep a clean and organized work area.
- Work safely.
- All other duties as assigned by supervisors
