The starting pay for this position is $21.00/hr; however, base pay offered may vary depending on factors such-as job-related knowledge, skills, experience, and market location. The Warehouse Associate reports to the Warehouse Manager and is an essential role responsible for all aspects of warehouse functions. This includes the receiving, storing, handling, shipping and preparing of product for customer delivery while maintaining the warehouse in a safe and orderly fashion.
Requirements:
- Must have the physical ability to repetitively lift tires and wheels up to 80 pounds
- Must be able to work in excess of 40 hours a week as business needs dictate
- Ability to operate a forklift/tow motor safely
- Previous work related experience relating to warehouse, customer service is required for purposes of expediting the learning / training process for this position.
Responsibilities:
Pulling Orders:
- To pull orders and load neatly onto framed tire pallets, flat pallets, or loose, in a safe and accurate manner based on the information provided by the customer and contained within the pick ticket document.
Staging Orders:
- Stage orders in preparation of shipping by stacking framed tire pallets in a safe manner to a maximum of 4 high to prevent tipping, injury, or damage to inventory.
Loading Orders:
- Quantities and destinations are verified and confirmed prior to the loading of all orders.
- Orders are to be loaded in a manner to minimize injury by utilizing back support belts and/or proper lifting techniques.
Unloading Shipments:
- Quantities received are verified and confirmed by the Warehouse Foreman or Operations Manager prior to the putting away of the inventory received.
Warehouse Organization:
- Verification of inventory in the assigned locations with correct part numbers for the purposes of locating and accounting for in daily production. Determining alternate locations when inventory is full and ensuring inventory is stacked neatly to prevent damage
Warehouse Cleanliness:
- Maintaining a clean and well organized warehouse results in more productive and accurate daily regimen resulting in less shipping errors.
