POSITION:Warehouse Assistant

DEPARTMENT: Warehouse

SUPERVISOR: Fleet/Warehouse Operations Manager

JOB SUMMARY: Works with the Warehouse Operations Manager to keep the warehouse and fleet running efficiently.

Hours: Monday – Friday 7:00am to 4:00pm or 8:00am to 5:00pm

One hour lunch.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

· Assist departments working out of the warehouse to start their day.

· Help coordinate company vehicle drivers to get vehicles to and from maintenance.

· Ensure workspace is free of debris and remove safety hazards.

· Keep warehouse premises (including bathrooms, storage areas, back lot) neat and clean.

· Detail fleet vehicles when they arrive for maintenance.

· Run errands as needed.

· Work as an active team member to complete team goals.

· Deliver paperwork to and from the main office for all departments working out of the warehouse.

· Conduct daily inspections of all vehicles that require them housed at the warehouse.

· Keep tool cages under lock and key, making sure all tools are signed out and returned.

· Keep materials in a neat and safe condition.

· Manage the traffic in the buildings and lot to ensure a safe environment.

· Pull materials needed for all departments working out of the warehouse in a timely manner.

· Assist in inclement weather clean up.

· Other duties as needed or requested by supervisor.

EDUCATION AND SKILLS REQUIRED:

• High school education
• Valid driver’s license.
• Ability to work well with other employees.
• Must have excellent organizational and communication skills, with team focus.
• Multi-tasker able to effectively prioritize work responsibilities and manage time.
• Must be able to work independently in a fast-paced environment.
• Must have basic tool and material knowledge.
• Must have a Basic vehicle and mechanical knowledge.
• Must be able to pull and back a trailer with no problem.
• Must be able to work without direction or supervision.
• Obtain and maintain forklift certification.

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:

· The ability to lift, carry, push and pull 50 pounds or more.

· Physically able to stand, sit move, squat, walk and climb for the duration of a workday.

· Must be able to lift and carry heavy objects, and stoop, kneel crouch or crawl in awkward positions.

· Must be at least 18 years old and physically able to perform work assigned.

· Must have good vision.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: From $17.00 per hour
