Job Summary
The Tool house/Warehouse Assistant/Mechanic will be a core component to the day-to-day operations of the Kentucky Warehouse / Tool house. They will assist with the organization, inspection, inventory, and maintain company tooling equipment. Process shipments both incoming and outgoing. Ensuring the day-to-day functions of the Warehouse /Tool house run smoothly.

Job Duties and Responsibilities
- Use a forklift for loading and unloading construction equipment and material.
- Organize and sort items in the warehouse/Tool house
- Receive and verify the accuracy of incoming shipments.
- Perform regular inventory of tooling kits, material shipments, and stocked items
- Inspect construction tooling for functionality and reliability.
- Accurately prepare shipments.
- Use of all required Personal Protective Equipment while performing the tasks that require it.
- Deliver tools, equipment, and/or materials to regional jobs with a company truck and trailer.
- Provide basic care and maintenance to equipment.
- Repair and/or replace old machine and mechanical parts.
- Diagnose problems with machines and equipment.
- Check machine and equipment performance.
- Perform basic diagnostic tests.
The PTS Toolhouse/Warehouse is built to serve our construction operations. Staging materials, inventory, inspection, and maintenance of construction tooling, stocking of commonly used items, testing of new tooling and processes, Custom Tooling solutions, preparation and eventual shipment of any item needed to execute our global operations while working seamlessly with all project support groups (Design, Construction, Safety, Project Management, Procurement, Fabrication, and Administration)
Other Duties
- PTS is a fast pace and flexible organization. This job description is not a complete listing of activities, duties, or of the task available to be a part of.
- Other duties include, but are not limited to, assisting in the maintenance of vehicles, trailers, and larger equipment, welding, operating larger equipment, assisting at a regional PTS construction project, assisting with facilities maintenance and repair.
Requirements
- Have great communication and organization skills.
- The ability to solve problems and suggest improvements to our systems.
- Have excellent attendance and show up to work on time every day.
- The willingness to learn. One of PTS’s greatest strengths is our ability to share information and skills.
- Be at least 18 years old.
- Be able to lift 50 lbs.
- Have a high school diploma or equivalent.
- Be eligible to work in the United States.
- Be willing to authorize background checks.
- Have no criminal convictions for dishonesty, sexual misconduct, violence, or acts of terrorism.
- Have a valid driver’s license
- Be willing to authorize motor vehicle driving record checks.
- Be willing to submit to pre-hire, random, and post-incident drug and alcohol testing.
