Warehouse and Delivery Worker
School Nutrition Program
POSITION SUMMARY: Responsible for warehouse duties and upkeep of program vehicles.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: (Other duties as assigned)
- Maintains warehouse cleanly and neatly; prevents clutter and provides space for new items.
- Receives inventory daily and checks invoices and purchase orders to ensure proper receipts.
- Delivers food and supplies to schools weekly during the school year.
- Conducts regular checks and cleaning of delivery trucks.
- Works with maintenance supervisor; assists with repairs and installations of equipment.
- Conducts a physical inventory monthly to balance with computer inventory maintained by the Shipping/Receiving Clerk.
- Completes maintenance and yearly cleaning of kitchen floors, hoods, loading docks, and tables.
- Delivers mail from the School Nutrition Office to schools when needed.
- Answers alarm calls for walk-in freezers/coolers after hours in rotation with other Warehouse and maintenance personnel.
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:
High School Diploma. Must have a valid Driver's License. Some maintenance skills are preferred.
SALARY:TERMS OF EMPLOYMENT:
Commensurate with education and experience. 12 Months
