- Drives vans and box trucks to transport supplies and equipment to, from, and between school sites.
- Loads and unloads delivery vehicles.
- Scans bar codes of all transported equipment for inventory purposes, if applicable.
- Maintains paper and electronic records (e.g. inventory lists, delivery schedules, work orders, etc.) to document activities.
- Operates warehouse equipment (e.g. hand trucks, pallet jacks, etc.) to move large and heavy items safely and efficiently.
- Prepares delivery batches by pulling items from stock to meet work order requirements.
- Contributes to physical inventories with warehouse staff.
- Organizes equipment in the warehouse to maximize space, efficiency, and productivity of warehouse staff.
- Collaborates with all warehouse staff on relevant group tasks.
- High school diploma or GED.
- Ability to drive vans and box trucks safely on a daily basis.
- Ability to learn to safely use machines required in warehouse operations (pallet jacks, etc.), and box truck lift gates. Experience in delivery and warehouse operations preferred.
- Ability to learn to use computer systems appropriate to inventory and work order tasks.
- Ability to communicate clearly and positively, both verbally and in writing.
- Ability to organize and prioritize multiple daily tasks and Delivery routes.
- Ability to collaborate positively with other staff.
- Valid driver’s license.
- Work requires standing for long periods of time, some bending, stretching, walking moderate distances, standing for long periods, lifting supplies and equipment weighing up to 75 pounds, and operating motorized equipment. Ability to push/pull carts, dollies, and pallet jacks.
- Much of the work involves exposure to normal, everyday risks; infrequent exposure to fumes and chemicals; exposure to cleaning fluids and chemicals during observation, inspection, and training.
- Work may require some night and weekend activities, in emergency, call-back or for scheduled activities.
