Server
Duties:
- Greet and seat customers in a friendly and professional manner
- Take food and drink orders accurately and efficiently
- Deliver orders to tables in a timely manner
- Ensure customer satisfaction by providing exceptional service
- Assist with bussing tables and maintaining cleanliness of the dining area
- Handle cash transactions and operate the cash register
- Collaborate with kitchen staff to ensure accurate order preparation
- Provide recommendations on menu items and upsell specials
- Address customer inquiries and resolve any issues or complaints promptly
Skills:
- Food service experience, preferably in a restaurant setting
- Strong customer service skills with the ability to create a positive dining experience
- Knowledge of bussing procedures and maintaining cleanliness standards
- Basic math skills for accurate order taking and cash handling
- Familiarity with operating a cash register or point-of-sale system
- Excellent guest relations skills to build rapport with customers
- Understanding of the food industry, including food safety regulations and hygiene practices
- Effective time management skills to prioritize tasks in a fast-paced environment
- Culinary knowledge to answer customer questions about menu items
- Sales skills to promote specials and increase revenue
