Reports to: Restaurant Manager or Other Department Manager or Director
General Purpose:
Support servers in delivering efficient service by maintaining a clean and organized dining room. Contribute to creating memorable dining experiences through personalized and genuine interactions.
Essential Duties:
- Ensure that all material used by servers is clean and ready for daily operation.
- Prepare the dining room for guests by setting tables and stocking necessary supplies before the start of service.
- Fill and refill water glasses and remove any place settings not in use.
- Clear dishes in front of guests upon completion of meal courses.
- Clear and reset tables when guests leave, including changing tablecloths, brushing chairs, placing chairs at tables, replacing silverware and glassware, and replacing napkins.
- Assists the server when needed or upon request.
- Practice proper tray service for all food and beverage service.
- Keep workstations well stocked with items and ingredients.
- Maintain a clean and sanitary bussing station.
- Clean workstations, take out trash, and vacuum the dining room.
- Ensures a safe work environment and always follows safety protocols.
- Maintain regular and reliable attendance.
- Performs other duties as required.
Minimum Requirements
Less than high school education; or up to one-month related experience or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
Preferred Requirements:
Previous experience in a restaurant.
Physical Demands:
Frequently stands, walks, talks and hears. Frequently uses hands. Regularly reaches with arms and hands. Occasionally climbs, balances, stoops, kneels, crawls, crouches, tastes or smells. Frequently lifts up to 50 pounds. Occasionally works in wet or humid conditions (non-weather); may come into contact with fumes or airborne particles; toxic or caustic chemicals. The noise level is moderate.
Certificates/Licenses:
ServSafe Certified (Food Handler & Alcohol) or TIPS equivalent.
