Chemours is seeking a Vice President, Treasury to join our growing Finance team. This position will be available at the Wilmington, Delaware location and report directly to the Chief Financial Officer.
The VP, Treasury oversees the organization's financial activities, manages liquidity, and ensures long-term financial stability of the company. sets strategic direction for treasury the organization. They direct activities in multiple Treasury processes capital and risk management, investment strategies, and banking relationships. The role has responsibility for Treasury policies and approves recommendations for implementation of new policies and is critical in the financial decision making for Chemours.
The responsibilities of the position include, but are not limited to, the following:

  • Develop and execute the company's global treasury strategy, including cash management, liquidity, funding, foreign exchange, and banking relationships to maximize financial efficiency and profitability
  • Manage all relationships with financial institutions supporting company's cash management operations
  • Manage the company's capital structure, debt portfolio, and credit ratings, and execute financing transactions to optimize the cost of working capital and financial flexibility
  • Stay abreast of developments in capital markets and business environments that can affect the company's financial performance.
  • Oversee the company's risk management program, including insurance, hedging, and derivatives, and ensure compliance with policies and regulations
  • Develop and maintain systems of internal controls to safeguard financial assets of the organization.
  • Lead and develop a high-performing treasury team, and foster a culture of collaboration, innovation, and excellence to ensure the treasury strategy is implemented effectively, consistently, and according to established guidelines
  • Partner with Chemours Executive Team, the board of directors, and external stakeholders to provide treasury insights, analysis, and recommendations
  • Collaborate with senior management and other departments to align the treasury function with the financial planning, tax, accounting, and legal functions.

The following is required for this role:
  • Bachelor's degree in finance, accounting, economics, or related field
  • Minimum 15 years of progressive experience in treasury, capital markets, or corporate finance, preferably in the chemical or manufacturing industry, with at least 5 years in senior management role
  • Strong leadership skills with a track record of building and managing successful teams.
  • Strong knowledge of treasury best practices, financial markets, and risk management techniques
  • Extensive knowledge of financial strategies, banking, and financial instruments related to treasury activities and how they impact operations
  • Excellent communication, presentation, and negotiation skills, and ability to influence at all levels of the organization
  • Strategic, analytical, and problem-solving mindset, and ability to drive innovation and change
  • High ethical standards, integrity, and professionalism
  • Ability to work under pressure and handle complex projects simultaneously.

The following is preferred for this role:
  • MBA, CPA or CFA preferred
