Work Location: This position can be remote; if within a commutable distance of a Customers Bank location, the expectation is to be hybrid and come into the office 3-days per week on Monday, Tuesday, and Thursday.

What you’ll do:
We are looking for an ambitious, self-starter who has excellent organizational, customer service skills and is detail oriented that will thrive in a fast-paced environment.
  • Customer first focus, with an emphasis on compliance with Bank and SBA guidelines
  • Preparing the CB term sheet and commitment letter and ensuring it complies with the FTA as presented to the deal review team.
  • Working with customer to collect and review all information required for application submission internal credit team and ensure completeness and compliance with all SBA requirements.
  • Coordinating information flow between borrower, bank and bank counsel.
  • Ordering any third-party reports from vendors (business valuations), or coordinating with internal team members for ordering of appraisal and environmental reports, if required.
  • Engaging counsel (in consultation with direct manager) to work on loan file once internal approval has been received by BDO.
  • Being point person between attorney, client, and bank.
  • Collecting and reviewing all required due diligence for loan closing, including business insurance, title insurance, life insurance, equity injection and all other due diligence as required by attorney prepared checklist.
  • Coordinating closing with attorney and internal documentation team to ensure that all due diligence items have been received and accepted by both external counsel and internal documentation area.
  • Staying informed and updated with the latest changes to SBA policies and procedural changes to the SOP.
What do you need?
  • Requires 3+ years, prior commercial closing experience
  • SBA specific closing or documentation experience strongly preferred
  • Strong oral and written communication skills
  • Some previous credit experience is helpful, but not required
  • Ability to manage time
  • Strong organizational skills
  • Time management, Task prioritization, Multi-tasking, and Attention to detail
  • Must be able to work independently and as part of a team.
Technology Skills:
  • Microsoft Office applications
