The Opportunity 

 

Reporting to the Chief Commercial Officer of our Nutritional Solutions business, the Vice President of PSM - Premix, Flavors & Film, is an exciting opportunity to drive significant global growth of several dynamic ingredient businesses.  Success in this role hinges on taking ownership of the comprehensive product vision, strategy, budgets, and roadmaps. Achieving outstanding results demands adept cross-functional collaboration, robust communication skills, and a commitment to driving innovation in new product launches.

Work closely with the Nutritionals Solutions Chief Commercial Officer, GN commercial leadership team and the role's direct reports to define and deliver on business goals by crafting and driving winning global product visions and strategies.

  • Lead and manage their product teams with an emphasis on 1) delivering business results, 2) creating an inclusive environment, 3) ensuring that we have the right people in the right roles at the right time, and 4) coaching and developing product team members to maximize their performance in their current roles and prepare them for future opportunities.
  • Ensure that the PSM team:
    • Collaborates with cross-functional colleagues in the execution of product strategies and commercial support that drives revenue and margin growth,
    • Collaborates with customers and internal colleagues to understand, prioritize, and drive opportunities in the premix, flavors and film markets,
    • Partner with marketing and sales to develop and implement winning go-to-market strategies and plans,
    • Identifies key areas of risk in our businesses and engages with the right internal stakeholders to develop strategies and plans to eradicate and/or minimize them,
    • Executes mid- and long-term asset strategies for each product area to balance supply and demand dynamics.
  • Synthesize information from multiple sources to draw insights and use them in the achievement of commercial objectives and the leadership of the PSM organization.
  • Evangelize product visions and strategies to align commercial and innovation colleagues on the activities which will create the greatest value for our customers and GN.

 

The Skills you will bring to the team

 

  • Bachelor's degree required; master's degree preferred.
  • Extensive leadership experience, ideally in the ingredients industry, with experience in strategy, product management and/or commercial functions.
  • Significant, positive track record in:
    • Defining and driving product strategies which drive revenue and margin growth.
    • Collaborating with customers and internal stakeholders to solve problems and drive positive business outcomes.
    • Developing and growing product management talent and ensuring strong talent pipelines / succession management.
    • Creating a positive work environment while creating work and priority clarity, and holding people accountable to meet our commitments.
    • Thinking and acting with a global perspective.
    • Aligning your own teams, as well as others, to PSM and overall business priorities.
