A Bit About The Role

The VP, Program Management is a 'player-coach' who will manage a team of Program Managers while managing a major customer program. As a manager of program managers, the individual will manage a team of Program Managers who vary in experience providing guidance, education, and coaching on Program Management best practices, change, risk, and customer escalation management. As a Director of program managers, you will work directly with a strategic critical clients, to drive on-time deliverables based on contractual commitments, and overall client success.

 

  • Manage a group of Program Managers providing guidance and ensuring business commitments are met contractually and financially.
  • Manage the overall customer contract directly with key clients and internal Imagine.
  • Must be able to manage a P&L with support from the finance organization.
  • Understanding legal commitments and the impact of not meeting contractual obligations.
  • Negotiate resources, changes, milestones, and dependencies with customers to deliver expected project outcomes.
  • Must have the ability to negotiate contract changes for a win/win solution for the client and Imagine.
  • Establish, communicate, and manage project plans, deliverables, key workstreams, resources, dependencies, and action plan necessary for success.
  • Communicate effectively and timely to internal and external stakeholders from the working teams up to C-Level Executives.Structure and Lead effective Steering Committee meetings with executives, and other internal and external stakeholders. Execute Change Orders when applicable, including any change in budget, scope and/or timelines.
  • Effectively manage program risk, including the ability to anticipate future threats and opportunities that may impact program outcomes.
  • Develop and implement recovery and contingency plans for off-schedule and unanticipated challenges.
  • Facilitate resolution of issues impacting the program
  • Utilize project management disciplines, methodologies, and best practices to reinforce accountability and ownership for results.
  • Provide strategic remediation and contribute to Project Management Governance for global continuous improvement.
  • Secure resources from internal departments and 3rd parties as necessary to manage project dependencies and deliverables.
  • Track client programs against a baselined schedule, budget, and phase objectives.
  • Manage multiple 3rd Party vendors integration complexities, and contracts.

About You
  • Bachelor's Degree coupled with 10+ years proven customer Program/Project Management experience ideally in the broadcast media operations industry.
  • PMP certification or equivalent and expertise at establishing complex technical project plans, driving projects from start to finish, creating realistic schedules, setting customer expectations, proactively identifying, and managing risks, and adjusting to changing priorities.
  • The ideal candidate will be a critical thinker. The person will need to understand client needs and have a deep understanding of our solutions and industry. This person should be able to apply the right solutions to fit the needs of the client.
  • Be a pragmatic problem solver. The ability to solve problems with the end goal in mind. Turn problems into solutions and be politically savvy in understanding the lay of the land.
  • Ensure the right people are at the table so issues can be resolved promptly.
  • Expertise at establishing complex technical project plans, driving projects from start to finish, creating realistic schedules, setting customer expectations, proactively identifying, and managing risks, and adjusting to changing priorities.
  • Ability to manage simultaneous projects of a highly complex nature.
  • Knowledge of systems architecture and IT technologies.
  • English language proficiency. Other language requirements may apply depending on regional focus.
  • Proven ability to manage internal and external stakeholders, at all levels, with maturity and credibility.
  • Project Financial experience.
  • Ability to form strong, effective relationships with internal and external stakeholders at all levels, from executives to end users.
  • Able to collaborate harmoniously with diverse teams.
  • Ability to manage simultaneous projects of a highly complex nature.
  • Exceptionally strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Customer on-site implementation experience a plus.
  • A positive driven attitude with the ability to challenge the team when necessary; recognize and celebrate team wins, tackle any adversity head on, and be the visible leader who champions the program to success.
