Job Description

The VP, Product Strategic Initiatives reports to and supports the EVP, Chief Product Officer in three primary areas.

First, this role will lead Strategic Initiatives that cut across the product portfolio from concept through to successful execution.

In addition, this role will drive board, Executive Leadership Team (ELT), and company-wide cross-portfolio communications that will range from board presentations to updates aimed at highlighting progress and teeing up important issues and decision points.

Finally, this role will steward our standardized product process and work with other key product and engineering leaders to continually improve it. As a key member of the R1 Product leadership team, the successful candidate will combine a standard "consulting skillset", including the ability to drive initiatives and monitor progress across a portfolio of initiatives, with a strong understanding of software product development.

This key position collaborates across functions and is responsible for effectively communicating our strategy and progress as well as helping the Product team to continuously improve.

Responsibilities:

+ Functioning as the point person for the EVP, Chief Product Officer, this critical role will ensure the Product team's decision making, product process, organization, and communication is working effectively.

+ This will include preparing for and running staff meetings, curating agendas and providing insights and analysis to inform strategic decisions, and ensuring follow-up and closure of action items to increase accountability.

+ Lead Strategic Initiatives that cut across the product portfolio from concept through to successful execution.

+ This will include important recurring initiatives, such as strategic planning and budgeting as well as important strategic projects that cross the product portfolio.

+ It will also include establishing success measures to track and ensure initiative plans will drive desired results

+ Drive board, ELT, and company-wide cross-portfolio communications that will range from board presentations to updates aimed at highlighting progress and teeing up important issues and decision points.

+ This will include preparing and presenting reports, dashboards, presentations, and other materials to communicate the status, results, and impact of product development and initiatives to internal and external audiences.

+ It will also include developing and tracking KPIs and metrics across the product portfolio

+ Steward our standardized product process and work with other key product and engineering leaders to continually improve it.

+ This will include gathering feedback and ensuring processes are working effectively across teams and recommending appropriate modifications.

+ Partner effectively across functions, including Technology, Operations, Finance, HR, Marketing, and Commercial, to execute responsibilities.

Required Qualifications:

+ Minimum of 10 years of relevant experience in strategic roles within the technology or revenue cycle management industry.

+ Excellent communication skills (verbal and written), with the ability to tailor your message to different audiences and levels of seniority.

+ Strong problem solving and analytical skills (quantitative and qualitative), with the ability to synthesize complex data and information into clear insights and recommendations.

+ Exceptional organizational skills (time management, prioritization, multitasking), with the ability to handle multiple projects and tasks simultaneously in a fast-paced environment.

+ High emotional intelligence (self-awareness, empathy, relationship building), with the ability to work effectively with diverse teams and stakeholders across the organization.

+ A growth mindset (learning agility, curiosity, feedback), with the ability to adapt to changing needs and expectations.

+ A passion for healthcare innovation and technology (visionary, creative, proactive), with the ability to drive positive change and impact.

Desired Qualifications:

+ MBA or equivalent Masters level degree

+ Healthcare technology experience

+ At least 3 years Management Consulting experience

+ Experience working with Product and Technology through transformation is preferred

For this US-based position, the base pay range is $165,975.77 - $249,612.00 per year . Individual pay is determined by role, level, location, job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training.
