Job Description

Peacock is seeking an experienced, innovative, and collaborative leader to oversee Sports Marketing reporting to the EVP, Brand Creative & Marketing. As the Vice President you will be responsible for leading a cross-functional team of experts in creative, strategy, media, and operations to bring to life the story of the Peacock brand in sports. Keys to the success of this role are a strong sense of collaboration with leaders and key stakeholders across Peacock and NBC Sports and a willingness to take big swings to make our brand and campaigns stand out from the crowd. This leader must be able to steward best-in-class campaigns that positively shift consumer perception about Peacock's sports offering and reinforce that we are a must-have platform for sports fans.

This role demands adept stakeholder management, an ability to present to and influence senior leadership, effectively lead a highly skilled team with smarts, grace and compassion, and champion a diverse, equitable, and inclusive work culture.

Salary range: $250,000 - $275,000

Qualifications

You are a brand marketing expert with a deep knowledge of and love for sports. You understand how to build long-term brand consistency while remaining agile and constantly innovating to cut through in a crowded marketplace. You like to take big swings on ideas that are grounded in the needs of the business and help to drive both short-term and long-term KPIs. You think about the intersection of brand and content marketing in growing a business and are curious in learning how to best connect creatively with our consumers. You operate with a challenger mentality and will adapt and react to changing market conditions and business needs.

Required Qualifications:  

  • 12+ years of consumer-facing marketing, brand development, and brand building experience.
  • Demonstrable experience utilizing insights, data, and research as part of a brand building and positioning strategy.

Desired Characteristics:

  • Successful track record building relationships, confidence, and consensus with critical stakeholders (collaborative and flexible).
  • Significant knowledge of sports and/or sports marketing experience a plus.
  • Ability to influence at all levels of an organization, utilizing interpersonal skills and the ability to work flexibly across departments, as well as manage internal and external partners in a dynamic and high-pressure environment.
  • Strong track record of success developing industry-leading campaigns in collaboration with creative, consumer insights, product, publicity, and strategy teams.
  • Direct experience leveraging qualitative and quantitative research and data to make decisions in real-time, as well as developing creative work that targets specific audience segments.  
  • Experience building and motivating a senior-level team. 
  • An exceptionally strategic thinker and communicator with an inquisitive mind that is comfortable both in the detail and at a high level.
  • Exceptional presentation, verbal, and written communication skills
