Job Summary and Qualifications

The Vice President Strategic Planning is responsible for the development of the organization’s business strategies in order to achieve short term and long term goals for the Continental Division hospitals. 

•Works collaboratively with facility executives to develop, document, and coordinate long-range strategy development and execution of plans for growth, expansion of services and facilities. 

•Builds consensus among key stakeholders across the organization in support of these strategies and plans. 

•Assesses programmatic strengths and weaknesses and facilities recommendations that are in line with the company’s standards and objectives. 

•Facilitates service line planning across the Division with Hospital and Division leadership 

•Identifies and assesses business opportunities which may include the evaluation of potential mergers and acquisitions. 

•Works with Decision Support to obtain and analyze data regarding: 

oCompetitive environment 

oMarket share data 

oOther market data 

•Leads the development of the Division Strategic Plan each year and updates throughout the year 

•Conducts special studies to evaluate and develop new programs and services. 

•Aligns development and Strategic Planning with marketing, physician sales and physician recruiting.

What qualifications you will need:

• Master’s in Healthcare or Business Administration required
• A minimum of 7 years related experience progressively responsible experience in health care industry to include demonstrated success in an administrative capacity with responsibilities related to strategy and business development
