What you will do:

  • Lead and manage the Project Management and Services Teams which consist of Lighting and Project Management (PM), Gear Quotations, Contractor Services, and Supply Chain Services (VMI Team) Associates.
  • Ensure team has job descriptions and understands performance expectations, conducts annual performance evaluations and talent reviews, and facilitates goal setting, talent development, and succession planning. 
  • Ensure the team has appropriate tools and training to navigate PM and Credit-related complexities.
  • Establish job expectations and hold the team accountable to ensure high-functioning performance.  Maximize productivity and build an agile infrastructure that supports all branches. 
  • Establish quality measures and standards that ensure milestones are met, projects are successfully executed, and stated benefits are realized.
  • Develop, improve, and operationalize critical tools and training of such tools to enable effective and proficient use. 
  • Promote and support digital initiatives. 
  • Hold monthly project bid meetings.
  • Champion project close-out meetings to identify opportunities for best practice and lessons learned sharing.
  • Provide strategic guidance and vision for growth, including but not limited to Team design, new industries/verticals, growth in product and Services, and increased profitability of Pro Logistics Services.
  • Collaborate with Sales VPs and Sales Leaders for continuous growth in Projects and Services
  • Build and maintain key customer and vendor relationships.
  • Collaborate with Credit and Legal on Terms and Conditions to minimize risk to the business. 
  • Analyze, triage, and then escalate customer issues and opportunities as appropriate to Account Managers, Sales leadership, Credit, and Legal. 
  • Understand legislative and political landscapes and issues that may impact the business. 
  • Identify and resolve project and potential credit-related issues, and effectively escalate decisions and issues.

 

What you will bring:

  • Electrical, Industrial and/or distribution experience preferred but not required
  • Bachelor’s degree from a 4-year college or university; or
  • 1 - 3 years' of related experience and/or training; or
  • Equivalent combination of education and experience
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills for productive collaboration with vendors, customers, and internal teams.
  • Creates a strategy and vision to enhance the customer experience for Projects and Services.
  • Strong project management skills and the ability to multitask effectively in a dynamic environment.
  • Process-driven and possesses the organizational skills necessary to create standard procedures and process flows.
  • Leadership experience and the ability to mentor and guide teams.

 

Location: This role is based in San Diego, CA.

 

Work hours: 8:00am – 5:00pm

 

Salary Range:

This is an exempt position that pays between $180,000 - $250,000 annually. This salary range reflects figures based on the primary location, within California. The actual range for the role may differ based on the location of the role.
