Job Description:
We are actively seeking a dynamic leader for the role of VP of Cybersecurity Governance, Risk, and Controls. As a pivotal member of our cybersecurity leadership team, you will be entrusted with steering and overseeing teams responsible for policy development, deployment, control effectiveness, and reporting on policy compliance across our enterprise IT, aaS products, the GreenLake platform, supply chain, and core products.
You'll report to our Chief Security Officer and while occasional travel is required, the work can be done from anywhere in the US.
Key Responsibilities
Team Leadership and Development

  • Lead and inspire a diverse team of 20-25 cybersecurity professionals, fostering a culture of excellence, collaboration, and innovation.
  • Provide guidance and mentorship to ensure continuous skill development and career growth within the team.

Policy Development and Deployment
  • Drive the development and deployment of robust cybersecurity policies, ensuring alignment with industry standards, regulations, and organizational objectives.
  • Collaborate closely with policy-focused teams to implement strategies that strengthen our cybersecurity posture.

Controls Oversight
  • Develop, implement, and maintain a unified controls framework.
  • Oversee teams responsible for assessing and enhancing controls across various business domains to ensure their adequacy and effectiveness.

Risk Modelling
  • Lead and guide teams in the development and maintenance of advanced risk models to identify, assess, and prioritize cybersecurity risks.

Reporting on Compliance and Effectivity
  • Establish and maintain a comprehensive reporting framework for policy compliance and control effectiveness.
  • Regularly communicate findings and recommendations to executive leadership, ensuring transparency on cybersecurity performance.
  • Strategic Collaboration:
  • Work closely with cross-functional teams to integrate cybersecurity seamlessly into projects, products, and business operations.
  • Collaborate with executive leadership to align cybersecurity strategies with overall business objectives.

Direct Leadership Role
  • Serve as a direct report to the Chief Security Officer, playing a crucial role in shaping and executing the organization's cybersecurity vision.
  • Actively contribute to cybersecurity leadership meetings, providing strategic insights and recommendations.

Board Interaction
  • Make periodic presentations to the Board of Directors, presenting a comprehensive overview of our cybersecurity initiatives, challenges, and successes.
  • Clearly articulate the impact of Cybersecurity measures on the organization's overall risk management.

Qualifications
  • Extensive leadership experience in Cybersecurity Governance, policy development, risk management, and Controls implementation.
  • Proven ability to build, TEACH, and lead high-performing teams.
  • Excellent communication skills, with the ability to translate technical details into business implications.

The expected salary/wage range for a U.S.-based hire filling this position is provided below. Actual offer may vary from this range based upon geographic location, work experience, education/training, and/or skill level. If this is a sales role, then the listed salary range reflects combined base salary and target-level sales compensation pay. If this is a non-sales role, then the listed salary range reflects base salary only. Variable incentives may also be offered. Annual Salary: $188,000.00 - $432,500.00
