The Vice President of Marketing and Communications will utilize in-depth business and middle and high school marketplace knowledge and translate it into effective annual strategic marketing plans and go-to-market tactics that drive the business forward to achieve annual financial/growth objectives and reports to the CEO. They will use impactful promotions and collateral that promotes existing partnerships as well as prospective impact areas. The VP of Marketing and Communications will lead the development and execution of marketing strategies that uniquely reach critical stakeholders. They will help shape brand identity, lead development of resources and help deliver on EOS’ commitment to its partners. This role manages a team and you will travel approximately 30% of your time.

INCREASE BRAND VISIBILITY, RECOGNITION AND AUDIENCE ENGAGEMENT - 40%

  • Lead strategic planning across all marketing channels (traditional, event, digital, social)

  • Develop strategies, tactics and messaging to support industry alliances, ensuring brand continuity

  • Create and execute annual marketing plans in alignment with EOS business growth objectives and strategy at the forefront

  • Define and maintain the brand identity for our products and services.

  • Ensure consistent messaging and positioning across all communication channels including positive media mentions and coverage and having a significant share of voice in the market.

  • Oversee digital marketing efforts, including social media, email campaigns, content marketing, and SEO strategies.

  • Build and maintain relationships with key stakeholders, influencer relationships and industry conveners/associations

  • Develop and execute public relations and Communication plans to enhance the company's image and reputation.

  • Manage Marketing and Communications budget and cost negotiations

  • Use social media for storytelling and evidence of EOS in action

  • Develop pitch strategy to share stories with press based on regional needs

  • Advise on messaging that appeals to individual donors and institutions

  • Translate research into digestible content funders want to read

  • Support Resource Development in grant and networking opportunities
  • Ensure Positive impact on corporate social responsibility initiatives.


SUPPORT, INTEGRATE AND ENHANCE THE EFFECTIVENESS OF THE EARNED AND CONTRIBUTED REVENUE TEAMS - 25%

  • Develop and execute go-to-market strategy, inclusive of branding and value prop

  • Create and implement marketing strategies to generate qualified leads and drive customer interest in order to convert leads to clients and funders.

  • Provide the sales team with a steady stream of qualified leads through various marketing channels.

  • Develop communication campaigns including newsletter on a regular and frequent basis at least monthly by third party

  • Develop Nurture Campaigns to reengage lost partners for Partnership Development, new individual donors for Resource Development by third party

  • Determine the Customer acquisition cost (CAC) and customer lifetime value (CLV) in order to recommend ROI.

  • Stay abreast of industry trends, competitor activities, and market dynamics



MANAGE, COACH AND DEVELOP MARKETING AND COMMUNICATION TEAM MEMBERS - 20%

  • Provide leadership and direction to the Marketing and Communications team, fostering a culture of creativity, innovation, and collaboration.

  • Support the Partnership Development, Resource Development and Programs team with impactful promotions and collateral that promotes existing partnerships as well as prospective impact areas

  • Act as a conduit for senior leadership and rest of marketing team

  • Mentorship and coaching of junior marketing team members


ANALYZE DATA AND METRICS TO MEASURE SUCCESS OF MARKETING CAMPAIGNS AND OPTIMIZE STRATEGIES ACCORDINGLY - 10%

  • Report on Website traffic and user engagement and use data to analyze bounce rate, email click through and open rates, time on site, engagement with blog posts, whitepapers, videos and other appropriate measures to ensure successfully marketing processes and calculate ROI

  • Understand our Cost per acquisition (CPA) for campaigns.

  • Conversion tracking for online campaigns.

  • Use customer feedback, customer satisfaction scores and Net Promoter Score (NPS)

  • Determine how SEO rankings and social media metrics contribute to our client retention and new sales


SYSTEMATIZE MARKETING AND COMMUNICATION PROCESSES ACROSS EOS - 5%

  • Prepare and manage department budget

  • Develop organizational wide communication calendar for external communications

  • Design comprehensive Playbooks & Messaging toolkits for all departments

  • Use Best practices & industry standards to operationalize Marketing and Communications work flow and work product

Required Skills

  • 10+ years of results-oriented marketing campaign development and implementation including 5 years in leadership roles.

  • Bachelor's Degree in marketing, public relations, communications or other related field
  • Hands-on expertise in marketing databases & CRM tools - experience specifically with Pardot, Asana, Salesforce
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Products and Google; familiarity with Google Analytics
  • Strong written communications skills
  • Strong idea generator, ability to think creatively and innovatively
  • Experience in creative direction, working in Adobe suite
  • Experience in PR/Communications campaigns or efforts
  • Experience in creative development and marketing strategy for direct sales, fundraising events and campaigns
  • Team player who operates well in a dynamic, all hands-on deck environment
  • Well organized, ability to manage multiple tasks on tight deadlines with a great attention to detail
  • Strong problem solving, priority-setting and decision-making skills
  • Positive, resourceful, and flexible
