SUMMARY

The Vice President of Admissions manages the admission team and is responsible for overseeing and optimizing the admissions process, ensuring the seamless transition of patients from referral sources to our dialysis clinics. The Vice President of Admissions will play a critical role in maintaining compliance with healthcare regulations, while fostering positive relationships with the referral sources, and driving continuous improvement in the admissions process.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following. Other duties and tasks may be assigned.

  • Develop and execute a strategic vision for the admission department in alignment with USRC's overall goals.
  • Responsible for the strategic planning, quality, productivity and qualitative metrics of the patient admissions process and support services to ensure department goals and objectives are achieved, in alignment with US Renal Care's mission and Core Values.
  • Champion and lead department and organizational strategic initiatives that may include any of the following: process improvements, technology enhancements, system conversions and/or integration.
  • Work directly with Operational and Finance leadership to ensure all responsibilities are managed in accordance with policies, procedures and applicable laws including metrics related to productivity and quality.
  • Responsible for overseeing the day-to-day activities of the call center, ensuring high-quality customer service, optimizing efficiency, and driving continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Streamline call center processes to improve efficiency, reduce wait times, and enhance the overall customer experience.
  • Establish and monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) to assess the performance of individual admission coordinators and the overall team, providing regular feedback and coaching.
  • Lead and mentor the admissions team, ensuring high levels of performance, motivation, and professional development. Oversees the workflow, training and verifying the accuracy of the department's work.
  • Recruits, trains, develops, and supervises department personnel.
  • Responsible for managing the entire department specific processes to ensure both internal and external customers are supported. Drive initiatives for continuous improvement, incorporating feedback from patients, referral sources, and internal stakeholders.
  • Establish and nurture positive relationships with hospitals, healthcare providers and other external referral sources.
  • Uphold management goals of corporate by leading staff in team concepts and promoting a team effort.
  • Understands, leads and promotes the Company's mission as it relates to ethics, integrity, safety, corporate responsibility and objectives.
  • Effectively communicates expectations; accepts accountability and holds others accountable for performance.
  • Regular and reliable attendance is required for the job.
Requirements:

Qualifications/Requirements:

To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily.

Requirements include:

  • Bachelor's degree in healthcare management, business administration or related field; Master's degree preferred.
  • Five (7+) years of leadership experience in a healthcare admission and call center operations, with a proven track records of success.
  • Five (5+) years of experience managing direct reports who manage/supervise others required.
  • Strong Knowledge of Call Center Operations and Management including reporting, analyzing and implementing changes in process and workflows to ensure a best in class patient and referral experience.
  • Strong analytical and organizational skills to oversee multiple work assignments.
  • Excellent communication, problem solving and critical thinking skills.
  • Ability to work in a dynamic and fast paced work environment.

Use of the following skills: problem solving, analytical ability, effective oral & written communication, confidentiality. Interpersonal skills necessary to work with all levels from staff to senior management. Ability to multi-task in an efficient, professional, and calm manner. Strong work ethic and organization skills, with ability to work in a fast-paced but detail-oriented environment.
