All Hospice of the IE and OC volunteers go through a training course to prepare them for working with patients and families. Our volunteer services consist of three main categories: patient and family support services, office staff support, and bereavement services.
Your role includes:
- Companionship: Emotional Support, Prayer, Reading.
- Card Games: Engage in enjoyable card games.
- Respite Support: Provide relief for primary caregivers.
- Running Errands: Assist with necessary tasks outside the home.
- Light Housekeeping: Help maintain a clean and comfortable environment.
- Meal Preparation: Contribute to nutritious and delicious meals.
- Laundry Assistance: Support with laundry tasks.
- Art: Create art with the patient at bedside.
- Music: Play music, sing or play your instrument.
- Life Review/History: Take part in hearing about their life.
- Deliver Supplies: Deliver supplies to patients.

This is a Volunteer position and is not paid.
