Position Description and Responsibilities: This is a Voting position on the Board of
Directors. Has a complete understanding of the Bylaws of the ETAC, its history and the
vision. Excellent communication skills. Attends meetings. Actively contributes their
knowledge and skills as an integral member of the Board, works with all members and
friends of the nonprofit. Take on responsibilities to organize projects and actively be
involved with activities. There can be overlap between directors and officers who take on
multiple roles.
Qualifications and Skills Required for the Position: Must reside in East Tennessee.
Exceptional commitment to the organization. First-rate leadership qualities. Personal
integrity. Passion for the cause. Willingness to participate and offer unique perspectives
base on their background and who they are. Professional and interpersonal skills are needed to unify and mobilize the Board and volunteers. An understanding of the arts and the communities in all East Tennessee areas.
Education: No formal experience or qualifications is required. A passion to support the
visual arts and encourage all in the community to experience the visual arts.
This position is unpaid. This position can qualify for student internship hours.
