Essential Duties:
- Shepherd medical device and software concepts through the product development life cycle, ensuring products function to specifications, look great, and meet customer needs.
- Manage all technical aspects of product design and development and define the target market that the product serves.
- Form customer and business hypothesis and validate these with proof of concepts, prototypes and early user testing.
- Interview customers, collaborate with stakeholders and closely coordinate with engineering and design to identify key product opportunities.
- Take products from concept to creation, fill products with life and fulfill users’ needs.
- Create a product vision, roadmaps, scope features and write user stories that define a plan and goals for your product.
- Measure and track product progress with qualitative and quantitative data.
- Contribute to ongoing product development process improvements, including establishing best practices and setting standards for the approach and rigor we apply to our research methods.
- Perform job related travel. Research projects may be in-person or virtual.
- Adhere to all company policies and procedures and, if applicable, all company policies relating to IATF16949 and ISO14000

Pay Scale:
- In the spirit of pay transparency, we are excited to share the base salary for the position is $94,200 to $130,000, exclusive of fringe benefits or potential bonuses.
Academic Skills/Knowledge/Experience needed:
- Bachelor’s degree in a science / engineering or technical field.
- Minimum 5 years of relevant work experience leading projects in a medical device, biomedical or other regulated industry.
- Experience in managing development teams and/or programs (in the medical device industry in both device and software areas.
- Strong knowledge of industry-specific business fundamentals, particularly relating to organizational KPIs and business processes.
- Familiarity with product road mapping, design thinking methods, user centric-approaches and lean development
- Data driven mind set and ability to lead discussions based on data.
- Collaborative and empathetic to the perspective of others and willing to put yourself in their shoes to understand their pains and frustrations
- Experience with common tools for creating and controlling product development like MS Project or Confluence.
- PMP Certification preferred.
- Demonstrated verbal, written and interpersonal communication skills, including conducting oral presentations.
- Time management skills and ability to multi-task with individual initiative (self-starter)
- Possess a valid driver’s license and an acceptable driving record
- Possess mental faculties consistent with performing at least the minimum essential functions of the job
