*Will likely be extended beyond 4/30/24, probably for an additional 12 + months
The ***/GOVs office is seeking at contractor IT Support Software Specialist III to work on site for technology projects,
Strong Microsoft office supports MS excel, Teams SharePoint, Word, Outlook, desktop support light networking.
Must pass State police background check.
The IT Support Software Specialist III will report into the IT Gov Office Manager and will directly be supporting Governor s Office day to day activities Governor s Office Technology Manager on these projects.
This position provides services to maintain and support daily IT operations and the underlying technical infrastructure at Office of the Governor and Administration. This includes but is not limited to direct technical support for all IT related equipment owned and operated by the Administration Cabinet, their staff, Office of the Governor and Lieutenant Governor. This includes workstations, management, vendor This position will also assist the AITR for the Office of the Governor, act as , support the agency owned hardware and software, oversee incidents and service requests, account administration, and perform any other responsibilities necessary to keep the administration and Commonwealth information systems running smoothly.
Experienced Application hands on support Business working in the technology space.
Strong passion for user experience and keen eye on product design to deliver on user needs. With a passion for creating change, mission-minded business, and an insatiable appetite for knowledge.
5+ years of Technology experience with strong domain expertise in Customer Relationship, Digital Service space
Used Data Analytical tools like Dataverse, Microsoft Excel, Pivot tables
Strong command on written and verbal communication skills
Experience in identifying business opportunities based on analytics data, market trends, user research and benchmark testing results
Expert knowledge of all phases of the project and product development lifecycle, from concept design to final delivery and rollout
Proficient in gathering requirements from Business stakeholders and understanding project/business goals
Responsibilities include;
***This will be a onsite position in downtown Richmond VA. Contract company please note parking will be responsible for the consulting firm. Position will be hours 8am -5 pm)
1.) Experience in providing information technology technical support either in hardware, software or
some other IT
2.) Demonstrated ability to ability to interpret complex information and provide informed analyses
3.) Demonstrated ability to work with all levels of management, customers, and vendors to resolve problems
4.)Requires excellent written and verbal skills as well as IT savvy to assist customers
5.) Demonstrated ability to use Microsoft Office suite
- Ability to help setup enterprise Gov's Office calls and coordinate technical setupRequired
- Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science or related fieldRequired
- Demonstrated ability to communicate effectively both orally and in writing Required
