Located in downtown St. Augustine, the Lightner Museum is a 501(c)(3) not-for-profit organization registered in the State of Florida.
The Visitor Services Associate is the first point of contact for visitors to the Lightner, responsible for daily admission sales; sales in the Museum Store; and conveying general information about the museum and its exhibitions to the visiting public.
This Is a temporary, part time position from October 1rst-April 1rst to assist with a visiting exhibition and our holiday rush. Potential for perminent hire.
Your Day-to-day Work
· Welcome guests on arrival to the museum
· Sell admission tickets to guests
· Answer general questions about the museum and St. Augustine
· Assist in the museum store as needed
· Assist with special events as needed
· Assist with programming and tour support as needed
· Other duties as assigned
What you bring
· Must have a minimum of a high school diploma
· Minimum of 2 years of customer service and cash handling experience
· Familiarity with operating a Point-of-Sale system
· A willingness to learn about the museum, its history, and collections
· Flexible schedule with the ability to work weekends, evenings, and some holidays (we are closed Thanksgiving, Christmas Day, and New Year’s Day)

Pay: From $15.00 per hour
