Form of workLawrence University of Wisconsin, a selective undergraduate liberal arts college and conservatory of music located in Appleton, Wisconsin, invites applications for a full-time, one-year Visiting Assistant Professor of Psychology in the area of Industrial-Organizational Psychology to begin September 1, 2024.
We are seeking an individual who is a dedicated teacher passionate about working with undergraduate students from diverse backgrounds in a liberal-arts setting. The successful candidate will teach courses in the area of Industrial-Organizational Psychology that contribute to both the Psychology Department and the Business and Entrepreneurship Program (e.g., Industrial-Organizational Psychology, Diverse Groups and Teams, Organizational Psychology Lab). Other courses will be determined in consultation with the department chair and may include: introductory psychology, research methods, senior capstone, or an advanced class in the candidate’s area of interest. Primary duties include teaching and assessment of student work. The teaching load is two courses per term (or one course with two lab sections) for three ten-week terms throughout the year.
Although primary responsibilities for this position involve teaching, we support scholarship through funding for conference travel and summer research students if desired (requires internal application).
Candidates must have a Ph.D. in Industrial-Organizational Psychology or a closely related field or be enrolled in a doctoral program with all requirements but the dissertation completed.
