Reports to: Supervisor of Visit Coaching and In-Home
Hours: FT Position – Monday – Friday flexible based on the needs of the of the program.
MISSION AND NEED: Holy Family Institute (HFI) is a 120-year-old Catholic organization with an impeccable history of serving children and families in the Pittsburgh Region. We are one of Pittsburgh’s largest social service organizations operating 15 programs in three counties. General Statement of Duties: This position will maintain primary responsibilities for direct contact and interventions with families referred by OCYF for the Supervised Visit Coaching Program adhering to the principles and practices of this evidenced based Model.
Essential Functions:
• Visits are scheduled promptly after receiving a case.
• Provide a minimum of 30 hours a week of direct time with clients, either in the Visit Coaching Program and/or in-home.
• Complete all required documentation including data collection.
• Collaborate with CYF by attending Conferencing and Teaming Meetings, court reviews and other meetings as needed.
• Know and comply with agency Quality Improvement activities.
• Follow office and agency HIPAA procedures.
• Maintain knowledge and follow responsibilities mandated by the Child Protective Service Laws.
• Attend mandatory trainings.
• Carry an in-home caseload of 2-4 families when necessary and enter all documentation in the KIDS system within 24 hours.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Must be able to engage clients and help families.
• Knowledge of accreditation/regulatory bodies such as COA, DPW, etc.
• Demonstrated ability to work independently and to carry out assignments to completion within parameters of instructions given, prescribed routines, and standard accepted practices.
• Demonstrates ability and knowledge of average computer skills utilizing Microsoft office and Office 365.
Minimum Requirements:
• Bachelor’s Degree in Social Work/Human Services or 3-5 years of relevant experience.
• Two or more years of experience working with children and families.
• Must have or be able to obtain Act 33/34 and FBI clearances and valid PA driver’s license Please Note: Candidates will be required to show proof of being fully vaccinated against COVID-19 upon commencing employment.
