Virtual School Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP)
Location: California (Remote)
Job Type: Fulltime, Spring Contract Opportunity - Work From Home
Pay: $55/Hour
We are looking for a passionate and experienced Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) to provide online speech and language services to K-12 students enrolled in our virtual school program. The ideal candidate will be adept at assessing, diagnosing, and treating speech and language disorders, as well as collaborating with educators, parents, and other professionals to support student success.
Responsibilities:
- Conduct virtual assessments to evaluate students' speech and language abilities.
- Develop individualized treatment plans to address students' speech and language goals.
- Provide virtual therapy sessions to students, utilizing evidence-based practices and innovative technology.
- Monitor and track students' progress, adjusting treatment plans as needed.
- Collaborate with teachers, parents, and other professionals to integrate speech and language goals into students' academic and social activities.
- Participate in Individualized Education Program (IEP) meetings and other multidisciplinary team meetings as needed.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date documentation of services provided and student progress.
- Stay informed about current trends, research, and best practices in the field of speech-language pathology.
Qualifications:
- Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited institution.
- California state licensure or eligibility for licensure as a Speech-Language Pathologist.
- Certificate of Clinical Competence in Speech-Language Pathology (CCC-SLP) from the American Speech-Language-Hearing Association (ASHA).
- Experience working with school-aged children, preferably in a virtual or teletherapy setting.
- Strong communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively in a remote team environment.
- Proficiency with virtual therapy platforms and technology.
- Ability to provide services in compliance with state and federal regulations, including the Individuals with Disabilities Education Act (IDEA).
