The Americas (AME) Service Region Business Process Expert (RBPE) VIE is responsible for supporting efficient operations and continuous improvements of sites for all Product Lines through effective adoption/control/monitoring of GSI (Alstom’s Enterprise Resource Planning solution) systems, processes, data and applicable Business Intelligence tools.

 

The Service RBPE VIE supports sales/customer service, repairs, maintenance/support (including commission/warranty) processes using the GSI/SES/Partsfolio/HealthHub systems + MMIS interface & supporting master data, and modernization/overhaul-specific processes and data.

Responsibilities

 

Support RBPEs as required to accomplish the following objectives:

  • Ensure understanding and correct/efficient usage of GSI technology, processes and data
  • Provide expert support to region for solving GSI system/process/data problems; Ensure appropriate consolidation, prioritization, reporting and resolution of open points, including usage of SNOW tickets as required; Maximize the sharing of common solutions across region sites
  • Support site maturity, productivity ramp-up and continuous improvement; Maximize the sharing of common improvements across region sites; Leverage all common applicable Business Intelligence tools to measure and facilitate improvements
  • Ensure consistent and accurate region data, including change management for releases of new technology and Change Requests; Proactively monitor data integrity; Reinforce Master Data Governance
  • Implement control tower approach / monitoring of GSI usage to ensure core processes are respected; Liaise between Business Process Owner (BPO) and Key User (KU) network to identify process optimization and/or tailoring opportunities to maximize efficiency with appropriate governance
  • Ensure top region KPIs for assigned stream are identified and monitored; Identify and lead/support KPI improvement initiatives
  • Ensure region requirements for reporting, Business Intelligence and other automated tools for assigned stream are identified and addressed as feasible, prioritizing automated solutions with cross-site and cross-PL applicability
  • Animate stream KU network for AME; Ensure knowledgeable and empowered KUs; Share best practices
  • Ensure effective stream communication through meetings, Teams, etc.
  • Deliver new Key User (KU) training; Provide refresher training as needed
  • Support Business Process Owner (BPO) on training documentation, including local specificities
  • Ensure integration with other streams for end-to-end topics
  • Communicate and support all future GSI process and tool releases and updates; Participate in specification; Lead setup, testing, training, support, etc.; Manage changes across region
  • Provide single AME point of contact for stream BPO (e.g., KU network interface, open item escalation, consolidation / prioritization /specification of AME needs for new releases, ticket management)
  • Successfully collaborate with BPOs, RBPE team, KUs, other streams, region PLs and IS&T partners

 

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in Business, Engineering, Science or related field
  • Leadership and influencing skills
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Excellent written and verbal communication
  • Drive to learn and master new technologies and techniques
  • Ability to perform in ambiguous & challenging situations, effectively cope with change, meet challenging deadlines on simultaneous projects while effectively managing risk and uncertainty
  • Ability to work effectively with multiple stakeholders in a matrixed environment
  • Fluent in English

 

Desired Characteristics

  • Experience in industrial, supply chain, finance, sourcing or quality
  • Experience with SAP systems
  • Understanding of business operations
