POSITION DESCRIPTION:
Our video team is small but passionate about making a positive difference in the world and setting and achieving big goals. We're excited to have diverse and talented new people as a part of that team.
We are looking for a Videographer/Editor to help us film, edit, animate, and deliver finished video for online audiences in a mission-driven but corporate environment. You will help our team bring video production to the next level by marrying natural talent with incredible follow-through and attention to detail. As a Videographer/Editor, you'll use your creativity, production planning skills, and filming and editing skills to make media that matters.
Please note: this position is based in SLC. Some weekend and evening shoots along with short travel may be assigned.
WHAT YOU’LL DO:
Reporting to the Video Production Manager, the Videographer/Editor will:
Participate in pre-production planning and creative development.
Coordinate aspects of shoots including managing video and audio equipment, lighting, and shooting.
Participate in pre-production planning and creative development.
Film & execute scripts as agreed upon with Creative Director/Creative Lead including principal photography, interviews, b-roll, etc.
Edit for content and visual flow, sweeten sound, animate graphics, & deliver final master upon agreed deadline.
Act as a liaison for the media team with other stakeholders in the company.
Manage all digital data transfers and storage.
Give and receive critical feedback on media projects between teams
Participate in the development of new content marketing media pieces for specific audiences and products.
YOU ARE:
A careful editor with an expert knowledge of the Adobe Creative Suite including Premiere, After Effects, and some basic knowledge of audio mixing software and color correction.
A creative visual storyteller who knows their way around beautiful b-roll and can make sure the story is as powerful as it is stunning.
A jack/jill- of- all trades who knows the basics of lighting, can run an audio boom, and feels completely at home behind a DSLR camera.
A problem-solver who knows how to figure things out independently and loves learning new skills.
A self-starter who sees needs and offers solutions before the needs become roadblocks.
A collaborator who enjoys the creative synergy of teamwork.
QUALIFICATIONS:
At least 3 years' experience in professional-level filmmaking/videography
Experience on video shoots of various sizes
BA in video production or equivalent of self-taught knowledge
Some experience with documentary-style video work and editing, and creating media for social media platforms is preferred
